At Blacklands Ranch, we strive to not only meet but exceed organic growing standards. We are not a certified organic farm due to the costs and time it takes to gain and maintain certification, however, we do not use man-made fertilizers or pesticides, and rotationally graze our registered Irish Dexter cattle. Our hens are only occasionally supplemented with organic feed and worms, and regularly jump their ~1.5 acre pen to search for extra bugs and forbs to eat.

Our current weekly ranch box (bag) includes:

• One dozen ungraded eggs, sold directly from farm only
• Herb of the week: Mint (great for tea or lemonade)
• Veggie 1: Okra
• Veggie 2: Tomatoes, cherry and larger mix
• Extras: Jalapeños
• Baked goods: Half a dozen Amish sugar cookies, made with organic ingredients
