Blacklands Ranch!
We’re grass farmers first, ranchers second.
During the big summer drought of 2022, we learned the hard way that soil has to come first. Our amazing Blacklands Prairie ranchland had not been well cared for over the last century and it shows. Over-farming and over-ranching have really taken it’s toll, leaving fields of alien grasses and cracking, hard soils.
So we’re learning regenerative farming and rotational grazing practices as we breed and grow our beautiful herd of registered Dexter cattle (and other fine animals), deep in the heart of Texas.
